Our story
Why Join ZIMDA?
The need to connect amongst ourselves within Australia and more crucially with the Zimbabwean community in our motherland had long resonated in many minds. Creation of an aggregate platform for Zimbabwean Doctors was thus only a natural and imperative process. This meant we could use our collective efforts to thrive in Australia, continuously improve professionally and more importantly to provide assistance to the Zimbabwean public health services in various ways. Official arrangements for creating the organisation were coined by Dr Sharon Miller and Dr Langton Nyoni in 2016. This culminated in an inaugural meeting in the Gold Coast (Qld)and on November 5th 2016 ZIMDA (Zimbabwe Doctors in Australia) was born.
